Lamentations

Talon Sullivan It may not be the strongest Solstice album but it is a very important building block for the bands sound to come after and should not be missed! Many very powerful parts full of emotion. Favorite track: These Forever Bleak Paths.

Brandon Corsair As much as I prefer the direction that Solstice would take after this album, it'd be a mistake to miss out on Lamentations. A product of its time, Lamentations recalls a gloomier take on the epic doom formula that sounds almost like England's more melancholic death/doom gone Candlemass- proof that even before finding his signature style of melodic, heavy-metal infused riffing, Rich Walker was already a master of writing titanic DOOOOM. Favorite track: Winter Moon Rapture.

dfkman A more straightforward doom album than its much lauded successor, but a classic in its own right. Favorite track: The Man Who Lost The Sun.
